What helps us imagine a collective future? In a time when the world is becoming increasingly hostile towards queer communities, what helps us hold on to hope?
Before the screening of What Will I Become? at Roffa Mon Amour, we invite you to join a creative workshop hosted by Queer Rotterdam and centered on imagining hopeful queer futures.
Through a series of individual reflections and small-group creative exercises, we’ll explore what gives us hope, what kind of futures we long for, and how we can imagine them together. Using a variety of creative materials, participants will create visual and written expressions of their dreams, possibilities, and collective visions.
Together, we’ll make space to imagine ourselves as part of a larger queer community: one that dreams, creates, and works towards a future that is more inclusive, joyful, and safe for everyone.
The workshop is facilitated by Zan, founder of Queer Events010 and organiser at Queer Rotterdam, and Katrin, founder of PerryScope and organiser at Queer Rotterdam.
Please note that there are limited spots available. We recommend to RSVP in advance because full = full.
After the workshop, we invite you to the screening of the documentary What Will I Become?. Rooted in lived experience and out of love for their community, co-directors Lexie and Logan tenderly honour two trans boys lost to suicide, and everyone they left behind who keeps going.
Purchase a ticket for the film via Roffa Mon Amour website: www.roffamonamour.com registration for the workshop is NOT a movie ticket!
