SUMMARY:Access Intimacy workshop
DESCRIPTION:This is a discussion-led workshop designed to focus on 'access 
 intimacy'\, with an emphasis on queer/trans individuals. We will be explor
 ing how 'access intimacy' connects to sexuality. The term was coined by di
 sability justice activist Mia Mingus—if you're interested\, her original
  article may be found at the bottom of the page. \n\n**Access needs** can 
 be defined as actions to help someone be present and able to participate\,
  and **access intimacy** is another person just "getting it".\n\nEveryone 
 has different access needs. This group discussion aims to explore what ind
 ividual needs are and how to communicate them to those you're in relations
 hip with\, along with any troubles along the way. We will also give space 
 to how queer folks may already have differing access needs (such as naviga
 ting being ace/aro while dating allo people or being trans while handling 
 dysphoria during intimacy)\; how mental health struggles can appear in sex
 ual contexts\; and how we can offer and accept help from those supporting 
 us\, such as by utilizing DS dynamics. And bring any topics you'd like to
